Introduction
Inside Matters is a collaborative team of accredited counsellors, psychotherapists and holistic practitioners, offering face-to-face, online and telephone counselling. The practice offers a wide range of therapeutic approaches: Psychodynamic and Integrative Counselling, Person-Centred Counselling, Transactional Analysis, CBT/REBT, and EMDR, alongside holistic services including Hypnotherapy, Nutritional Guidance, Breathwork/Mindfulness, Reiki Healing, and Neurodiversity Support.
Katherine runs the practice with a clear sense of what it stands for: a personalised, whole-person approach to therapy. That same clarity needed to come through on the website. It’s the first place many prospective clients encounter the practice, often at a vulnerable moment, so it had to feel considered rather than generic.
The Problem
Katherine had worked with a designer to get the visuals sorted. By the time she came to me, there was a complete set of Figma files ready, laid out, considered, and reflecting exactly how she wanted Inside Matters to look and feel online.
What she needed was someone to build them. A design file is a plan, not a product; it doesn’t load in a browser, it doesn’t take enquiries, and it doesn’t tell a visitor how to get in touch. The job was to take what her designer had already worked out and turn it into a real, working website, without losing any of the detail in the process.
The Solution
I built the Inside Matters website in WordPress, working directly from Figma designs Katherine had commissioned from her designer. The job was translation: taking a static design and turning it into a working, navigable site, with the layout, structure and content matching what had already been agreed.
The result needed to hold up across devices, present the services clearly, and give visitors a straightforward path to get in touch — all without Katherine needing to touch any code to manage it afterwards. WordPress gave her that control. The designer gave it the right look.
Conclusion
Inside Matters now has a website that reflects the practice as Katherine intended it: a calm, considered presence for people looking for the right kind of support. The project was a straightforward brief, done properly — design in, working site out.
